Aquaria

Our aquaria comply with strict Home Office requirements for the care and handling of animals.

The Lowestoft aquarium facility contains:

  • flexible tank set-ups, including fish and shellfish culture and holding facilities
  • ambient and chilled seawater supply
  • ambient freshwater supply
  • flow-to-waste and recirculation systems

The total tank volume is approximately 214.4m3. This is divided into 44 tanks with a combined volume of 147.3m for use with seawater; and 96 tanks with a combined volume of 67.2m3 for use with a freshwater supply.
