Important information on Safety Data Sheets
Cefas is aware of the difficulties faced by the industry in
achieving compliance with Annex II of EC Regulation 453/2010
concerning Safety Data Sheets. We note also the phased introduction
of the updates to Safety Data Sheets required by the Regulation,
which means that not all chemicals will be required to comply with
the new Annex II immediately. Both of these factors are taken into
consideration during the (re)registration of offshore chemicals,
with the effect that DECC and SSM simply require suppliers to
provide their most up-to-date Annex II Safety Data Sheet.
