Our principle customer is Defra, for whom we supply
trusted advice on the status and management of UK and European
fisheries. This includes expert advice on the application and
reform of the EU's Common Fisheries Policy.
In
addition, we conduct research on fish biology, fishery assessment
methods, marine systems' dynamics and the likely effects of fishery
management decisions on stocks and fishermen.
