Construction

Construction work in the marine environment can involve anything from piling and pontoons to major port or harbour developments and wind farms.

Our experts will review enviromental implications - individually and as a whole - and assess the impact of a project in conjunction with other licensed activities in the area.

Key criteria we consider are:

  • designated shellfish bivalve production areas
  • fishing activities and fish resources
  • benthic ecology
  • coastal processes
  • sediment contamination
  • navigational issues
  • designated conservation areas.
